Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to common questions about Splitko.
Add an expense, choose who paid and who shares it, then split equally, by percentage, or item by item — including assigning scanned receipt lines to specific people. Splitko keeps every balance up to date automatically.
No — just share the invite link or QR code. The link opens the app straight to the join flow, and it even works for people who haven't registered yet: the invite is remembered through sign-up.
Yes — every feature is free: unlimited groups and members, the household budget, statistics and PDF export. The free plan includes 5 AI receipt scans a day and shows ads; once the scans are used up, you can watch an optional ad for one more. Premium removes the ads and the daily scan cap, billed monthly or yearly through the app stores.
Each group has its own currency, and balances and statistics are kept per currency. The app is fully translated into English, Polish, German, French, Italian, Ukrainian and Spanish — and the AI scanner translates receipt items into your language.
Splitko computes the minimum set of transfers to zero out all balances. Pay by cash, bank transfer, or an optional Revolut deep link with the amount pre-filled — the recipient confirms the payment, and everything is stored in the group's settlement history.
Very accurate on typical receipts: it extracts line items, amounts, tax and tip, translates item names, and suggests a category. You can always review and edit everything before saving — you stay in control.
Yes. All communication is encrypted and your data is stored securely in our cloud backend. Images sent for scanning are deleted as soon as the items are read. With Premium, a receipt you attach to a group expense is kept as a compressed copy in private storage that only that group's members can open. You can also mark expenses as private so only you can see them.
Delete your account directly in the app (Profile → Account → Delete Account). Your account and profile are removed immediately. Expenses you recorded in shared groups stay visible to the other members as “Deleted Account”, so their balances still add up. Need help? Email support@splitko.app.
